It all started when the Penderwicks couldn’t find a vacation home. The father, Mr. Penderwick, finds a deal for a cottage, and so Batty, Jane, Sky, Rosalind, and Mr. Penderwick head out for a three week vacation. When they get there they realize that there is a mean lady named Mrs. Tifton who owns the mansion in front of the cottage. The Penderwicks go through lots of adventures and challenges on their long trip.
I like this book it has tons of adventures. For example, when Sky bumps into some boy she doesn’t know he almost passes out. He turns out to be nice, unlike his mother Mrs.Tifton. Another example is when Batty, the youngest Penderwick, goes into the bull’s pen and thinks it is a horse, Jeffrey saves her. I also like it because it is funny. For example, Batty wears little fairy wings. That is why I like the Penderwicks.
I would give this book 5 out of 5 paws. If you have a library or a book store near you go get this book.
