Wimpy Kids Rule!

Diary of a wimpy kid is a book about the main characters everyday life, diary of a wimpy kid is one of my favorite books. This book is about a middle school that tries to be cool. The problem is he never gets treated with respect, and to make matters worse, his best friend Rowley is cooler than he is and always sticking up for him. Greg always tries to make him look bad because he’s jealous.

I really liked this book because this story has great characters. My favorite character is Manny, Greg’s youngest brother. He’s like the random character that always does funny and weird things. Then there’s the oldest brother, Roderick. He is always mean to his brothers and he is always somewhere pulling a prank or something on his family. And then there is Greg’s best friend, Rowley. They first met when Greg moved up the street. He came knocking at his door saying snobby knock knock jokes that say how to make friends, That’s when he said just be yourself dude. This book was great!

I recommend this book and I give it five Paws!

Crazy Costumes!

Once a boy was at school and his teacher said that the school was going to have a Halloween party and the best costume will win a prize. He didn’t know what to be.  So he went to a costume store, but he didn’t have the money to buy the costume he wanted. His mom said that she made her costumes, so he decided to do that.  Will he make a costume that will win, or will he end up being embarrassed? 

I liked this book because I read it when it was Halloween and this was a Halloween party. Also, after reading this book I wanted to make my own costume. It seemed like fun when the boy made his angel wings. And that’s why I liked this book.

If you like Halloween stories, you’ll love this book. I give it five paws.

HP2 The Chamber of Secrets!

Harry Potter and The Chamber of Secrets is about Harry’s second year at Hogwarts. Jenny Weasley, Ron’s younger sister, is joining them this year, but things aren’t always what they seem, and Harry finds himself getting blamed for people getting petrified. Will he solve the mystery, or get kicked out of school? 

I loved this book! It’s full of action and adventure. For example, when Harry destroys Tom Riddles diary he has to fight a basilisk, which is a huge snake that can kill you just by looking at you! It’s AWSOME, but you’ll have to read HP and the Sorcerer’s Stone first!

If you are looking for a great fantasy/action book, then I’d recommend the Harry Potter series. I give this book four paws.

Harry Potter and The Prisoner of Azkaban

My favorite book is Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, the third book in the Harry Potter Series. When Harry finds out that his godfather, Sirius Black, escaped the wizard prison Azkaban, everybody at Hogwarts is frantic. Sirius Black broke out of Azkaban and the teachers are taking extra precaution for the students. All the students at Hogwarts think that Harry is in danger, including the new defense against the dark arts teacher, Professor Lupin.  He taught Harry how to face his fears about dementors but will that be enough?      
   

 I think the book Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban is a good book because of the great characters. My favorite character in this book is Professor Lupin. He’s a great teacher that helps Harry when no one else would. Also, I like the new characters of the dementors. JK Rowling did an outstanding job of describing them with lots of detail. I could see them clearly in my mind. I couldn’t stop reading it once I started.

Overall, if you like long books and have the time, Harry Potter is a great series. I give it five paws.

The Amazing Mega Mind!

My favorite movie is Mega Mind. It’s about a bad boy that gets in trouble every time he does something wrong. As he gets older, he tries to defeat Super Boy, the good guy. Super Boy and Mega Mind fight because Mega Mind wants to take over the world. Will he succeed?

I like the movie because of the action/adventure and the fact that it has good guys and bad guys. For example, Mega Mind tried to kill Super Boy by setting a trap for him. Super Boy flew in, and then Mega Mind tried to blow him up. My heart pounded during the whole movie! 

If you are looking for an action/adventure movie, I recommend Mega Mind ,and I give it five paws.

The Lost Hero!

My favorite book series Percy Jackson series because it is modern day with Greek gods and demigods. My favorite book in the series is The Lost Hero.

Jason wakes up on a school bus from a school for troubled kids on their way to a field trip. When they get there Jason gets attacked by a storm demon. Right when he gets to camp half-blood he gets sent on a quest to go save the goddess Hera. 

I liked this book because it had a lot of action and tells a lot of old Greek mythology stories or myths. For example when they saw an old demon it would say the Greek myth about that demon. What an adventurous read!

 I think you would like this book, but you should start at the beginning of the series. I give this book 5 stars!

Sarah is More than Just Plain and Tall!

 My favorite book is Sarah, Plain and Tall. Sarah is a woman who comes from Maine and goes to the country from a letter that was written by a man asking for a wife and a mother of two. A boy and a girl named Anna and Caleb. At first Anna does not like Sarah, she thinks Sarah is trouble. Then she finds a ticket to Maine in Sarah’s drawer. What will Anna do with the ticket? Will she show her dad or will Sarah leave?   

I love this book because the main character, Sarah, is very interesting. She is very mild mannered, she also cares a lot about dead things. In one chapter, Sarah saw birds eating something dead and she started to cry and made the birds go away. I also like Sarah because she taught Caleb and  Anna nice songs about summer. It’s a great book!

 I think Patricia MacLaughlin, the author, did a great job of making you feel like you were really there. I give this book 5 paws!

The Playful Penderwicks!

The Penderwicks is not your typical family. With one dad and four daughters to watch out for, things get off track and they decided to go vacation. The sisters go on many journeys and end up running in to snooty Ms. Tifton who has a son named Jeffery. She does not like him hanging out with the crazy sisters, but they all become friends anyway. What they don’t know is that their neighbor Ms. Tifton is very strict and takes the way her garden looks very seriously. Mrs. Tifton is getting ready to compete in a gardening club contest. But when the sisters come along, she finds them snooping in her garden. If the sisters keep going in her garden, Ms. Tifton is up for a battle. What will happen?

I really liked this book. It has a lot of adventure in it. I love how Jeanne Birdsall uses great descriptive words in the book. The way that she put this book together is very interesting. For example, Ms. Tifton does not know is the girls’ mom has died of cancer. When the girls make Ms. Tifton furious, she starts talking bad about their mother. These insults about their mother make the girls very mad. Her descriptive language makes the scene more vivid to the reader. The book really comes to life!

If you are a person who likes adventure in their books this is the book for you. I would rate this book to have 5 stars. YOU WILL NEVER BE ABLE TO PUT THIS BOOK DOWN!!!!

Ice Age Continental Drift

Ice age continental drift is all about animals that get stuck on an iceberg. They fight over the boat so they can save the rest of the animals. Will they win the fight and rescue the rest of the animals? My favorite movie is Ice Age Continental Drift because it had a pirate ship that was made out of ice and it’s full of action, adventure, and romance. On the ship, there were scary creatures and the captain was a chimp. It was cool and romantic because a girl tiger likes a boy tiger. At this point, the ice breaks and they try to kill the mammoths and other kinds of animals. Then some of the animals got stuck on a piece of ice and they drift half way across the ocean. Ice Age is a great family movie. If you’re looking for a great movie for you and your family, you should go see Ice Age, Continental drift. I give this movie four paws.

Ms. Coco is Loco!

Ms.coco (the teacher) is driving A.J crazy. She makes him do her work, and then A.J doesn’t even get recess. Also Ms.coco makes A.J clean up the whole classroom, and wash the tables, the floor, and even clean the bathroom. Will he ever get to just go out and play?

I like Ms. Coco is loco because it is interesting and also because it feels like the book is real. For example, when AJ made a mistake and got in trouble, I felt like I was him. This is a great book!

I really liked this book and I give it 5 paws!

Reviewing Ralph!

Wreck it Ralph hates to be the bad guy. As an animated character in the game “Fix it Felix”, Ralph’s the guy that destroys the buildings. What he really wants is a medal, and only good guys get medals. So all Ralph has to do is game jump. The only problem with game jumping is that he’s not where he’s supposed to be, building don’t get knocked down, and people think something’s wrong with the game. To make matters worse, he’s been gone so much that his game is due to be unplugged in the morning! Can Ralph jump back to his game in time to save his game?

I loved this movie because it’s full of comedy and adventure! My favorite part of WRECK IT RALPH is when Ralph and Vannelope make a car so that Vannelope can race and try to become an avatar for her game. I liked this part because they crash a car factory even when Vannelope is not allowed in the factory. It’s hilarious!

I would support this movie with 5 out of 5 paws. If you know a theater close to you that is showing WRECK IT RALPH, you should go! ( Don’t forget the popcorn!)

The Odd Life of Timothy Green

This movie is about a couple who couldn’t have children. They stayed up all night making drawings of their dream kid. When they were done, they planted the pictures. It rained and thundered only in there yard. The next day, they found a boy covered in mud. The mother was shocked! Wondering if the child was missing, they called the police. Will they ever find out what really happened?

I think this is the best movie I’ve ever seen. The movie is full of surprises. For example, the mom was shocked when she found a dirty child in her home. I love this movie.

I recommend this movie to anyone, and I give it five paws!

Penderwicks Rock!

It all started when the Penderwicks couldn’t find a vacation home. The father, Mr. Penderwick, finds a deal for a cottage, and so Batty, Jane, Sky, Rosalind, and Mr. Penderwick head out for a three week vacation. When they get there they realize that there is a mean lady named Mrs. Tifton who owns the mansion in front of the cottage. The Penderwicks go through lots of adventures and challenges on their long trip.

I like this book it has tons of adventures. For example, when Sky bumps into some boy she doesn’t know he almost passes out. He turns out to be nice, unlike his mother Mrs.Tifton. Another example is when Batty, the youngest Penderwick, goes into the bull’s pen and thinks it is a horse, Jeffrey saves her. I also like it because it is funny. For example, Batty wears little fairy wings. That is why I like the Penderwicks.

I would give this book 5 out of 5 paws. If you have a library or a book store near you go get this book.
