How to Create a Blog

Hello my Neipchens!
Mrs. Isaacs here, and I wanted to explain how to make your own blog. We can work on the blogs at school, but, unfortunately, the firewall won't let me create blogs, and so below you'll find step-by-step instructions on making your blog.

If you are still confused and need help, bring me your email address and password. I'll take it home, and create a default blog and then we can work on the design of it at school. If you create a blog at home, please make sure that you know your URL, email address, and password so you can get on it at school to change things around. I'm working on a scroll widget with all of your blogs, so we must have a grab button for everyone and all the blogs set up before summer starts! :-)

How to create your own blog:
Make a gmail email address.
Click on the "Create a Blog" button on the top right corner of this blog. There you will be taken to
a page that looks like this:

That will take you to a page that looks like this:

  

The final step creates the blog. Remember, we need your URL, your email address and password in order to work on it here at school!

The World is Our Friend!

Coins here, today I’m going to talk about how the land, sea, and air are being polluted.

The sea is so full of garbage, chemicals, and toxic waste that animals and fish are dying rapidly. In the air (there are many businesses that use lots of poisonous gases and then put them in the air) the scientist should discover something to take all that poison away from the air. On the land people (not me) throw cigarettes and soda cans in places where there is a high amount of animals (which they are forced to eat it because hungry and then they die). If we don't take action now, our planet will continue to decline, killing all life as know it. If you want to help go to www.ourearth.org ! Thank you for reading, and please help!

Digital Monsters!

OB here, and I have something to say. Digimon is a very good show. It is awesome! The series centers around seven kids at camp. A portal appears and they get sucked into a digital world. Each of the campers find their own creatures that help them along the way. The creatures can transform into different things. Digimon is not only a show, but a game as well! you can find Digimon on Fox or there are episodes available on youtube. 
I give both the game and the show 5 paws.

Poppin' Poptropica

Poptropica is a virtual world where you can make new friends. Jeff Kinney, the author of "Diary of a Wimpy Kid" made Poptropica. There are many islands like "early Poptrpica, Vampire Curse Island, and Spy Island. It is an online game like Club Penguin, except you are a person, not a penguin. 
I rate this game 5 paws.

What's the Kick in Kickball

Kickball is a fun sport where someone rolls the ball at a person and the person kicks as far as they can. And as always 3 strikes you’re out. The four ways you can get out is if someone pegs you (means you get hit with the ball), if you get tagged, if someone tags the base before you get on (but it must be a force out), and my favorite catching the ball. I give this sport 5 paws. And I wish that this would be an official sport. So that’s the kick in kickball!

Really?!

Fencer 6 here, and I want to talk about how McDonald's has been advertising. They have been making advertisements that say their food is healthy! That's crazy! It's okay to have it from time to time (I do), but trust me, it isn't healthy! they say it's healthy just because they have milk and apples. I'm not saying apples and milk aren't healthy, but you get a cheese burger and fries with that. I say McDonald's is getting to cocky. Just take a look at this commercial:

The Amazing Pringles!

Have you ever tasted the salty, crunchy, delicious Pringles?! They are the best. They are really thin, but have a great crunch to them and an awesome shape. Once you start eating them it's hard to stop, and they come in a lot of different flavors, but I like the normal the best.

If you haven't tasted them then you better go to the store! They are only $2.00 for a tall can, so you better buy, buy, buy.

Monkey Go Happy!

Monkey go happy is a computer game on primarygames.com. There are four versions and two marathons. They are considered educational in that they teach how to click and play with the computer mouse.  First, the monkeys are really sad. Next, you have to win all of the levels. Finally, when you win the last level, you make the monkeys happy!


I give this game 5 paws!

Minecraft Majic!

Minecraft is a complicated sandbox game. This means its a game where you can create pretty much anything you want. Currently, Minecraft has 3 modes: survival, creative, and hard core. In survival, you gather wood, coal, food, and more to survive. Also, beware of the monsters that come out at night! Creative gives you the ability to just build! Do whatever you want! But hardcore is survival of the fittest. You can't heal.

Minecraft is realistic in many ways, but very unrealistic in others. Melt sand to make glass. Kill cows, chickens, or pigs to get food. But monsters come out at night. Very unrealistic. Also, you can enchant things, which gives tools certain powers.

One bad thing about mine craft is you have to pay for it. $27.99 to be exact. But someday, when it is completely finished, it will be free. I give Minecraft 4 paws. Under is a video oh how to survive your first night.

The Fun I Have

Coins here, today I will talk about a poem I made yesterday. Poems are things that you write to show people how you feel! The poem I wrote is about me at the beach. This is what I wrote:

Sea Love

I stand there watching silently, at the beautiful sea

Where the animals are playing happily

There the foam

Makes me feel at home

Then the waves rose, speeder than a fly

Making shells leave, faster than they can say goodbye

The smell of the salt water is better than the rest

As long as it’s at sea, believe me it’s no pest!

Sorry, Rider

Fencer6 here with a review of Alex Rider a spy book series about Alex Rider who gets assignments. This is my least favorite series. If someone tells you about Alex Rider I would advise you to read something else, like Harry Potter , Percy Jackson , or the 39 clues .  I find the Alex Rider series boring, the writing tells too many details, and it takes a while to get the plot going. Sorry Alex, but you get 1 paw.

Sorry, Potter

Fencer6  here with a review of Harry Potter. In my opinion Harry potter isn’t very good. Number one and two are written more for littler kids. I think the only good one is the third, The Prisoner of Azkaban. Besides the third, Percy Jackson beats them all! I think Harry Potter takes too much time explaining, get on with the action! Sorry Harry, but you get 2 paws.

Hip Honey 2

Honey 2 is an awesome dancing movie. It starts when this girl named Maria is in juvenile battling against her enemy, it isn’t just a normal battle it’s called a dance battle.  They and their opponent have to dance the best they can and whoever dances the best wins. Then this person she doesn’t know takes her out of juvenile and takes her as her child/assistant. If You want to know more check it out at your nearest redbox. This movie is rated pg-13 and I give it 5 paws.
