Have you ever wondered if there were really
trees that were softer than silk and smelled like butterfly milk? Well, in Thneedville, a long
time ago there were thousands of them. Until someone cut them down. After that,
a city was built, but the city was plastic and fake. The people liked it that
way. Everything was plastic. Even the trees. The mayor was very small, and his name was O’Hare. The air was not so clear in
Thneedville so Mr. O’Hare sold fresh air. All he cared about was money. Until a
boy named Ted wants to get a real tree for a pretty girl. But all the trees
were gone so he had to talk to the Onceler. He’s the one who knows what
happened to the trees. But he lived outside of town. So Ted had to go outside
of town which made O’Hare mad. Will Ted ever get a real tree for his love?
I liked this movie because it was really funny.
My favorite character was Ted’s grandma. She did these crazy things! She was
small, like the mayor, but she was a great skier and incredibly old! I laughed
throughout the entire movie.
Unfortunately, there were some things I didn’t
like. The movie looked cartoonish and really fake. I like movies that look
real. I also didn’t like it because people were mean like the major and his
burly body guards.
Overall, this movie was great! It was full of
laughs! So if you are looking for a cartoony movie full of fun, than get The
Lorax!
