A Long Way From Chicago

Have you ever went to your grandmas and have not fit in? Well Joey and Mary Alice feel the same way. In the book A Long Way From Chicago, Mary Alice and her brother Joey go to visit their grandma. They live in Chicago, and their grandma lives in a small town in the country. Their grandma is not a regular person. Lots of people in town are scared of her. She is a big woman who plays sly tricks, and gets away with it.
My favorite part in this book is when grandma pulls sly tricks. For example, she had sewed MTL on a quilt and then went to a sale and tried to make people believe that the quilt belonged to Mary Todd Lincoln. Do you think that grandma will make money off the quilt?  Another example is she has a stove pipe hat she brought to the sale and said it was Abraham Lincoln’s hat. Do you think the Towns people will fall for grandma’s tricks?
I like this book and I recommend it. This book also has a sequel which is called A Year Down Yonder so you can keep on reading! I rate this book with 5 paws. What sly tricks will grandma pull next?!?!
